Introduction
We are an active club with a strong junior and adult membership with ages ranging from 4 years to 80 years. We recognise that while many thrive on competition, there are many of us who are best described as recreational players. Interaction with others and making new friends is as important to us as the silverware others may bring home!
Club Facilities
We have five tennis courts (3 artificial grass & 2 rubber) & 2 padel courts, all of which
are floodlit. We also have a clubhouse, kitchen facilities and showers (though these are
temporarily unavailable as per Covid 19 restrictions).
Senior Tennis
Social Tennis
Every Wednesday night is Club Night. This involves social doubles tennis. Non members
seeking to join are also welcome on club night. Please use one of the options below to
contact a committee member to express your interest. If you are already a member, you can
enter by joining the ‘Wednesday Club Night’ WhatsApp group and look out for the
registration message posted every Monday lunchtime.
Tennis Babes
This is the ladies’ social tennis that takes place on Tuesday and Friday mornings. To
get involved, join the ‘Tennis Babes’ WhatsApp group.
Competitive
The Senior Tennis Committee organises regular doubles leagues to suit all levels throughout
the year. In addition, two annual tournaments are organised, the Cavan Senior Open (May)
and the Cavan Senior Closed Championship (September). We also plan to introduce for the
first time, the Cavan Veterans Doubles Tournament for over 35s in July 2021.
Padel
Padel, always played in doubles, is a great way to get to know other club members. The
sport is new to Ireland but has a growing popularity due to its attainability for all age
groups. If you want to give it a go and see what all the hype is about, join our Padel
WhatsApp group.
Club Communication
The committee aims to keep members informed of upcoming events and developments within the club.
Whatsapp is our primary communication method. All Members are added to the main Group – Cavan Tennis & Padel 2020

Emails are now an essential part of our communication so please make sure your details are filled in correctly on your membership form.
Booking System
All courts must be booked so all new members should sign up on our booking system so they can book a court and be included in a booking – Details can be found here
